so i finally got my first tattoo. i've been sort of overly excited about the prospect of getting one for a while now, but the closer it got to go-time the more apprehensive i became. honestly, it hurt about as bad as i expected it to which is to say it hurt quite a bit. i was sort of a baby about the whole ordeal but it was definitely worth the pain.
it's a mike mignola-inspired drawing by my friend vanessa at underground art.
it's hard to tell exactly what's going on because it's minus the shading at this point. that'll mainly be done in black and will have to wait a few weeks due to the healing process. i don't have an awful rash like chris gets so on that front i'd say it seems to be doing pretty well. though it has only been a day.

Yeah, my problems don't start right away, they usually start a week or more after the tattooing.

yikes. well i hope there aren't any unforseen complications. if roxy would stop trying to rub up against it, i'd be a little less concerned. this ointment makes everything stick to it...it's a litle worrisome.
